Recently Mrs Maddams, Mrs G, Christie and Shawna attended a function to launch 100 Days to the start of Matric Finals. KZN Minister of Education, Mr ME Dlungwana, outlined the logistics of preparing for the examinations. Afterwards Christie and Shawna had the opportunity to meet and be photographed with Mr Dlungwana and were interviewed by SABC. It was a meaningful function which is a reminder that the holidays are over and it’s time to pick up the pens and focus on goals!
Nelson Mandela’s legacy was celebrated with enthusiasm and great passion as the whole student body and staff of Danville Park Girls’ High School dedicated 67 minutes of their time to make a difference in the lives of others. They rolled up their sleeves to make sandwiches, creatively transformed socks into toys, turned buttons into earrings, packaged hand-made Tea Bag Tags, made pencil holders and put beautiful treats in mugs as their personal Hug -in- a -Mug. Some girls participated in covering books for the Learn Project and others in knitting and crocheting blankets.
Below from left to right are Lushmika, Keiryn and Ruchira who, along with the other Grade 12 learners, arranged flowers for the Highway Hospice staff.
